State Estimation within IED Based Smart Grid Using Kalman Estimates

State Estimation is a traditional and reliable technique within power distribution control systems. It used for building topology of the grid network based on state measurements current operational different nodes & buses. The protection sensors measurement units such as Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED) in Central Energy Management System (CEMS) against False Data Injection Attacks (FDIAs) big concern to operators. These are special kind cyber-attacks that directed towards data way mislead CEMS into making incorrect decisions create generation load imbalance. known bypass bad detection systems central estimators. This paper presents use an additional novel estimator Kalman filter along with Distributed (DSE) which Weighted Least Square (WLS). feedback mechanism constantly updates itself prediction correction shows improvement estimates. output compared results DSE order identify anomalies injection false data. We evaluated our methodology by simulating proposed using MATPOWER over IEEE-14, IEEE-30, IEEE-118, IEEE-300 bus. clearly demonstrate superiority method estimation.
